1500 - The number of fans that will be able to fit into the Harris Family Track and Field Stadium, currently under construction on the southeast side of campus near the Compton Family Ice Arena and the Melissa Cook Softball Stadium. When completed, this state-of-the-art facility (located outside ND’s existing nine-lane track) will boast a nutrition station, locker rooms, meeting rooms, a training center and a scoreboard. The stadium, subsidized by College of Science alumnus Bob Harris and his wife, Mary Ellen, is expected to be finished by February 2017.

53 - The number of career matches in which senior Katie Higgins, a middle blocker on the volleyball team, has played. Higgins played spectacularly in her game against University of Miami on Sept. 25, recording ten kills and earning a .667 hitting percentage. The Irish won all three sets to sweeep Miami, adding to an already incredible season.

200 - The number of men’s soccer wins that Bobby Clark has served as head coach. Clark recently led his team to a win against Syracuse — his 200th victory in 16 seasons as Notre Dame’s head coach. A veteran coach who has spent 30 years helping teams reach their maximum potential, Clark is known for dramatically improving the ND men’s soccer team. He even led Notre Dame to an NCAA title in 2013.

22 - The number of times the Notre Dame Women’s Cross Country Team has won the National Catholic Cross Country Invitational. The Irish achieved their most recent win on Sept. 16th, with sophomore Annie Heffernan completing the 5K at just over 17 minutes and 22 seconds. The men’s team also medaled at the invitational, coming in second place in the 5-mile race.
