3 The number of returning starters and the number of freshmen on the Notre Dame men’s basketball team. With Jerian Grant and Pat Connaughton pursuing careers in the NBA, the team’s returning core of junior guards Demetrius Jackson and Steve Vasturia, and senior forward Zach Auguste, will have to pick up the slack. Each proved capable last season, and the experience gained by the team’s dramatic run to the Elite Eight should have these three ready to take on the competitive ACC. Head Coach Mike Brey will also expect these three to be leaders for freshman guards Rex Pfleuger and Matt Ryan along with forward Elijah Burns.

19:36.2 The winning time for senior cross country runner Molly Seidel for the 6K race at the 2015 ACC Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee, Florida. Seidel was followed by Notre Dame freshman Anna Rohrer, who placed second with a time of 20:08.3. This marked the first time a pair of female teammates had placed first and second at the ACC championships since 2005. Overall, the Irish placed third in the championship with 96 total points.

11 The number of goals on the season for the Irish women’s soccer team’s senior forward Anna Maria Gilbertson. Gilbertson, the team’s leader in goals, scored twice in the No. 14 Irish’s 3-0 victory over the No. 5 Virginia Tech Hokies. The Senior Night victory on Oct. 30 brought the Irish’s record to 13-4-1 on the season. The team will next see action in the NCAA Championship. First round matches begin Nov. 13.

13 The number of wins Notre Dame has after trailing in the fourth quarter since Brian Kelly took over as head coach in 2010. This number is the best in the FBS over that time span. The 13th such win came in Notre Dame’s 24-20 victory over Temple. The Irish trailed by three after a 36-yard Temple field goal with 4:45 remaining, but sophomore quarterback DeShone Kizer’s 17-yard touchdown pass to junior wide receiver Will Fuller and senior corner KeiVarae Russell’s game-sealing interception gave the Irish the victory.
