36 — The number of days since the last Notre Dame athletic competition. On March 11, the women’s lacrosse team defeated Vanderbilt on the road 16-6. The men’s basketball team was set to compete later that night versus Virginia in the ACC tournament quarterfinal, but the ACC canceled the tournament.

 

19 — The number of full football games available for a limited time on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish YouTube page. These include all seven home games from the 2018 season as well as Notre Dame’s home victory over Texas in 2015. 

 

25 — The number of years Notre Dame diving coach Caiming Xie led the Irish before announcing his retirement in March of 2020. “I am proud to have worked alongside amazing colleagues and awesome student-athletes to help develop Notre Dame Diving into a nationally recognized, remarkable program,” Xie said.

 

1 — On March 30, the NCAA announced that spring sport student-athletes would be granted a one-year extension for their athletic eligibility. Should they so choose, Notre Dame senior and fifth-year spring athletes from 2020 can return to campus to compete in 2021. Winter sports were not included in this decision.
