It’s finally fall — the season of football and pumpkin-spiced everything. While everyone tends to get excited for the return of Starbucks’ famous Pumpkin Spice Latte and their other fall-themed drinks, we can’t forget about the abundance of fall foods from Trader Joe’s.

When everything is pumpkin flavored and fall themed, however, things are sadly bound to be a hit or miss. Let’s start with the misses.

The pecan pumpkin instant oatmeal sounds promising but is extremely visually unappealing, which may put you off from the start. Even as it tastes better than it looks, it’s hard to get past the grotesque brown-orange color and the simultaneously chunky and slimy texture. The fall leaf corn tortilla chips, on the other hand, are cute and have a great aesthetic but taste no better than a Tostito. If you’re going to eat an average chip, you might as well just buy one that is average-priced. Fortunately, the oatmeal and tortilla chips were the only two major misses.

Most of this year’s fall foods at Trader Joe’s are delectable. The pumpkin bread and muffin mix is easy to bake and makes for a great breakfast, snack or dessert. The organic pumpkin spice granola bark is also good at any time of day. The size of each piece is bigger than you’d expect — think granola bar, rather than bite-sized bark — yet it is tasty and perfect for a quick snack.

The pumpkin spiced teeny tiny pretzels are indeed teeny tiny, but they are packed full of tastiness that will surely leave you wanting more. Similarly, the pumpkin spice batons come in a small package yet are filled with delicious pumpkin spice flavor. And lastly, you can’t go wrong with classic in-shell pumpkin seeds — they’re a tasty snack, and, packed with fiber and nutrients, they’re good for you, too!

Trader Joe’s went above and beyond and incorporated more flavors than just pumpkin for the fall. The honeycrisp apple cinnamon greek yogurt is light and creamy with just enough fall flavor. The autumnal harvest soup is tomato-based with hints of pumpkin and butternut squash, and the combination of flavors is exquisite. Trader Joe’s even has a honeycrisp apple scented candle that makes you believe you are smelling a literal honeycrisp apple. (Don’t eat it though.)

Ultimately, Trader Joe’s did a great job including festive fall flavors into a variety of products. Whether you are looking for a healthy snack, a satiating meal or a sugary dessert, Trader Joe’s has you covered
