“Picture-perfect, you don’t need no filter, shower you with all my attention, yeah, these are my only intentions.”

Released on Feb. 7, Justin Bieber’s song “Intentions” feat. Quavo soon dethroned “Yummy,” marking Bieber’s third No. 1 hit on the Hot R&B Songs Chart. The music video shines a spotlight on three struggling women who are supported by Alexandria House — a transitional residency in the mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles that helps women and children move from an emergency shelter to a stable and permanent living situation.

Through this song, Bieber intends to raise awareness for homelessness and housing insecurity. He also announced his own intention of establishing a $200,000 Intentions Fund to help reconstruct the dreams of families suffering from homelessness.

Through skillful transitions and camera angles, the music video allows us a glimpse into the women's lives, viewing both good and bad parts of their day and garnering viewer empathy. Simultaneously heartwarming, touching and aesthetic, the “Intentions” music video encourages viewers to help those in need.
